I'll never forget his smile
or the way he used to talk.
But it took me a very long while
to get over the shock
that he would never love me,
that he would never care,
that he would always think of me
as the girl who was just there.
Seeing his beautiful eyes just tears me apart.
He will never know how he'll never leave my heart.
"Love hurts," someone once said.
I didn't listen. I fell in love instead.
But time will pass, my wounds will heal.
There will be other boys and every time will be for real.
But when I find that special someone,
